Knova 3D! >>> Testing out a new software (SPLINE) along with a 3d model (Made in Maya). I use 3d blockouts to aid my 2d concept work. Now that the project is evolving, it makes sense to go into 3d to test this new character with greater ease. I spent Monday making this new Knova model ( I had a rougher one last week, rough work not usually something I share with my clients)
Image 1 Knova Try out the mouse hover on this first example via a computer! The phone version needs adjustment to work properly if it does, I suspect it can be adjusted.
Image 2 has an "Orbit" function. Click + Drag = Orbit around also middle click drag + alt to pan. Sized to showcase on phone or computer, although orbit needs some sort of adjustment for touch settings, not sure if it can work on phone.
Image 3 shows a phone pose with the alternate model, right ear extended with antenna.
Poses ...Any of the poses can be animated and free to use via "Mixamo" ... (Commercial Free to use confirmed. If used in a game, then you pay). These can be used to make other poses from like a vector version or hand painted stylized/ other art software/ assets. Here is the Adobe MIXAMO LINK.
3d Coat for painting ^
Wave Pose
Phone Pose (This image taken before I made the ear/antenna out version) A hasty screenshot, but the angle is nice and square box over a larger white bg.
Lights can be majorly adjusted.

Still image of an animation I was messing with... Lights can be fun, here I was messing with a "file finger through" animation. . the shadows looked fun when animated too.
We can get some really neat renders from this Spline Program
Getting Knova to be rigged meant she needed to have a full body. I made parts of Knova adjustable and hideable, luckily Spline lets me TURN OFF a layer, like the Skeleton Layer shown in the following gifs. Here is Knova with legs shown in Mixamo, this is pre Spline adjusting >>> Imagine any of the poses without legs.
Dance poses shown for fun. I would suggest my top 5 animations so far, Idle 1, Spin, Point, Wave, Phone. You can really have any and all you want that you find on mixamo site.
I like the shape of Knova's hood/ back object. It has a fun, cloud like shape that could be interesting for a logo/icon idea, here featured at the top of the icons..
The bot eyes need rework to have 1 less row in each eye like taking a ring out of the arms. I tried a few different vector graphics for these >>>

This logo / icon looked a bit like AT&T, maybe thats bad, maybe good?
Using the O from Audiowide Font as a Nova face could be fun.
If we want to go a different style choice like vector for different uses we can. I can make any static that you want like this one shown. If you want hi quality vector animations in this style, we need a specialist animator that handles this type of work often. My version would be animated gifs. There may be a way to do in Spline I'd just need to experiment further. I like Spline because it gets us very useful code.
